Room 208, and the Portal to Virginia, Tuesday Evening

The majority of Robin's accumulated wealth were packed in boxes ready to be handwavily sent home. But because he was both a muppet, and a performer, he had also made one adjustment to his packing for dramatic effect.

He'd placed his dearest treasures, mostly pictures or rememberances of his best friends Anenome and Hoshi especially, and Jack in a handkerchief, and tied that to the end of a small, but sturdy stick to sling over his shoulder.

He made a last check of the room to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything. And as he did, he imagined that there was music playing. And a montage of events superimposed over his search.

Singing in the park, Driver's ed, meeting G'Kar and his daughter, greeting Andrew after the Angel invasion, hiding eggs on Easter.

Oh! How could he have missed this?! The “diary” of Wee Robin. Before going to bed on the final night of the weekend of weetiny, Robin had used some crayons to catalogue his adventures. There was a crude drawing of Savannah handing him an “intaton” to her wedding. Here was a stick figure telling a stick tadpole to stay away from knives.. A drawing of the Magic Box with a notation: “Not reel box”. And of course, a heart, with ”Hoshi” written in the middle.

Robin slipped those into a box, nestling it next to the Best Frog Award, and a photo of Hoshi's kids, and a few pictures of Brianna.

[And with this post, Robin is gone for the Summer. He'll be back in the fall, but if anyone wants to say goodbye to him or sign his scrap book you can catch him on the way out in a below ocd.]

Just because Hoshi wasn't there didn't mean she wouldn't say good-bye for the summer. She had a cell phone, after all. She dialed the number and hoped that these old-fashioned cell phones worked in Greece.

Robin hopped up onto the desk to answer the phone. "Hello?"

"Hi Robin!" said Hoshi. "Did I catch you at a good time?"

"Hi Hoshi! Your timing is incredible!"

"Good!" said Hoshi. "I'm on an island that's actually a little bit closer to Turkey than Greece. It's absolutely beautiful here. I'm having a good time, but I wanted to catch you before you left."

"I'm glad you did." Robin said, a bittersweet note in his voice. "Do you have my address in Florida? My family has a post office box."

"I do," said Hoshi. "There may even be a postcard waiting for you when you get back, if I ever make sense of Greek postage."

Robin giggled. "So what are you up to near Turkey? Just laying on the beach or are you having adventures?"

"Well, there's this island that has this really neat history to it. It looks more like a medieval European castle than a Greek island," she explained. "I'm going to explore this place for a few days before taking the ferry back to Santorini. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity."

She wisely left out any references to a Greek boy who persuaded her to go on the trip in the first place.

"Oh, there will be lots of pictures," said Hoshi. "I'll have plenty to show you when you come back. When are you coming back, by the way? Are you going to be gone the whole summer?"

"Uh huh." he answered, missing her already. "I'll miss you guys but it'll be good seeing my family and friends back home too."

"You'll have to enjoy it for me," said Hoshi. "My mother and I talked, and it's not a really good time for me to come home. I'm glad that you'll get to spend the summer with your family."

"I can do that. Are things not working out back home?"

"They're not that great, but the good news is that my mother and I actually talked," said Hoshi. "I didn't tell her about Yoshiko and Toru, though. She'd completely freak out."

Anemone tapped on the doorframe lightly before peeking in. "Hey sweet-Robin, going on vacation?"

"Hi Anenome! Yeah I'm going home for the summer. Apparently my parents miss me."

"You are?" she asked, blinking. "For the whole summer?"

"Well, I'm not surprised they miss you, I know I'm going to miss you while you're gone."

"Can you get mail in the swamp?" she asked, quickly looking in her pockets for some scrap of paper. "I'll have to write to you, especially if there's any more adventures or invasions."

"Uh huh! We have a post office box." He scribbled the address on a piece of scrap paper for her. "And yes you must write me." Cause right now he totally didn't want to leave.

And I decided today that Robin will get a summer job in the ticket booth for an Everglades Boat Tour.

Bundle over his shoulder, the tiny frog made his way to the causeway. Then changed direction when he remembered that the causeway went to Greece now and the portal was elsewhere.

As G'Kar was headed home from the store, he spotted Robin wandering alone.

"Hello Robin," he waved.

"Hi G'Kar!" Robin waved. "How are you?"

"I'm doing well. You?" He eyed Robin's little bundle. "Going on a trip?"

"I'm going home for the summer." Robin explained. "I've been here for a whole year and last summer, so my parents wanted me to spend this summer with them."

"I see. Then you have indeed been gone for a while. It is always good to spend time with family. You'll be back in the fall?"

"Good for you!" he smiled. "Any big plans besides visiting your family?"

"Probably get a job. Last year I helped out with a boat tour of the Everglades. This year I'm finally old enough to do more."

"Oh it's really neat. I could send you a brochure if you want."

"That would be wonderful. And we could write to each other while you're gone if you wish."

"I'd like that." Robin nodded. He scribbled his address on a piece of paper for G'Kar.

G'Kar smiled and wrote his own address on a small corner of paper he ripped from his journal.

"Here you are, Robin. I hope you'll tell me all about your summer and your family. I'll let you know if anything weird interesting happens here."

"I surely will. Thank's G'Kar." Robin went for a hug. Of course he was very small so the best he could do was a shin.

Robin may only be able to reach a shin, but G'Kar could fix that. He crouched down so that he was level with Robin.

"How about we try it this way," he smiled.

Robin giggled, and gave him a proper hug.

He hugged back. "Much better. Well..." he let go of Robin, "I suppose I should be letting you go on your way. Have a safe journey, my friend."
