Robin had set up a kind of nest/bed for the egg when it arrived. He was pretty sure he was ready for this.

Harry had Jess the egg baby in a cup with a handkerchief as he made his way down to Robin's room.

"I brought our eggy lovechild," he said as he knocked on the door.

"Hi Harry!" Robin bounced excitedly. "Hi Jess! Did he/she behave themself?"

"A perfectly behaved egg," Harry said. "And I don't think Bob corrupted the poor thing too much."

"Is Bob your roommate?"

"Bob's my skull," Harry said. "Seregil is my roommate."

"Your skull has a name different than the rest of you?"

"Not the one on top of my neck," Harry clarified. "Bob's on a shelf in my room. He's a spirit bound to a skull, really, but it's easier to say 'my skull.' Plus people have way better reactions."

"Oh I get it." Robin nodded. He didn't really think that was strange. After all, he lived in a world where loaves of bread could talk.

"Is he often a bad influence?"

"He's got a dirty, dirty mind," Harry said. "So yeah."

"Yeah Jess doesn't need to be exposed to that until he or she is at least 14."

"Unless Jess hatches into something by Friday, Jess is not hanging around for the next 14 years." Because seriously, rotten egg smell for that long? Nasty. "But yeah. I tried to keep the egg uncorrupt. That's probably gonna lose me cool points in class, isn't it?"

"Harry I've discovered that this class is actually teaching me who not to emulate. I really don't think they're cool."

Harry laughed. "I hear ya. They've got some, ah, interesting ideas."

"Plus the class is called the art of cool. And as anyone in show business will tell you, art is all subjective."

"Good point. So, you ready for full egg raising responsibilities?"

"I am indeed." Robin nodded. "I've made a bed and everything."

"Cool. Don't go corrupting Jess now," Harry said as he handed over the cup containing the egg. "If there needs to be corruption, I'll call in Bob."
