Or very early Saturday morning. Either way. Robin was in a quandary. They had been assigned to pick a performance piece that took them out of their comfort zone. Robin figured it'd be easy to figure that one out.
As a Muppet, it seemed against his nature to dwell too long on gloomy, emo thoughts and emotions. There seemed to be something hard-wired in Muppet DNA to help bring each other out of funks by doing something weird, or silly. Or just talking to them or singing to them. It took something truly heart-rending to reduce a Muppet to a long-term depression. Something like, the death of a beloved friend.
So Robin was attempting find a song or monologue that could take him back to where he'd been when Beatrice died, but not so much that he couldn't get out of it again. That was proving to be harder than he thought.
Anastasia's progress wasn't much better. After she finished her latest attempt, Robin said; "But isn't that song still a little er, in keeping with your usual repertoire?" It was from a very dark romance/horror story after all.
