For his birthday, Robin had gotten in the mail a few presents, and a number of phone calls from family. Currently he was talking to his uncle. He regaled Kermit with tales of Fandom weirdness and alien invasions. He told him of his classes and workshops, of the new friends he'd made and old ones he'd said goodbye too. He told him about his experience with the Gremlins and it's aftermath. He told him of people's continued startlement at his appearance.
"And I got to ride a unicorn!"
Kermit asked after the health of Jack and Robin's other friends, and told him of his plans for another television show.
They spoke of Robin's acting endeavors, the island's inhabitants, and even history, both of their own family and in general. Robn's civil war workshop had awakened an interest in him.
"So besides you how are the new kids reacting to the island?"
"Pretty well I think. There's some that are kinda on edge, but I bet pretty soon they'll be old hats."
By the time they hung up, Robin was very glad that Kermit was paying for the call.
