Minotaur lounge, Monday Morning

Robin sat on the sofa, his banjo leaning against it, and a weetiny notebook in his lap.
May 21- Arrived in Fandom a week ago, and have already met a slew of interesting, exciting people. And yes, enjoyed their reactions to meeting a talking frog. Some reacted more strongly than others. My big brother Chris for instance stared for a bit, but Jude, who offered to teach me how to skateboard, hardly even blinked. My roommate Haku also seemed to take it well.
I was assigned to the Minotaur cabin (note to self, try to get shirts or some thing for the "Mighty Minotaurs"), and my cabinmates are great. And many are pretty girls. Bonus!
And Luke is here! How cool is that? He was one of the most exciting guest stars on Uncle Kermit's show! As if that weren't enough, Swedish Chef is the school cook! It's like a little slice of home now! I think I've heard Animal's name bandied about as well, but I haven't seen him.
Jude and I are both in the Goth Class, which is soo much fun! I wonder if the modern Frog Scouts had a Goth Merit Badge? Abby was another person who didn't react too surprised at meeting me. And she's super pretty in a way I've never seen before. Like punk girls only darker.
Speaking of merit badges, I think I'm gonna try for my Occult merit badge. I got a
job at a magic store which should help immensely.
My innate Muppet cuteness has served me in good stead as it got me cuddled by Rikku, though I feel a bit guilty cause she's Jude's girlfriend. Well done Jude, that's all I can say. There's lots of girls around so that's okay though. If I find one I like I think I need to ask Johnny for advice cause he sure seems confident in that area.
Fandom, I've noticed is a very interesting place. And apparently scary sometimes, as Liz told me. But Dean assured me that not all the things that happen here are scary or dangerous, so that's good.
I need to investigate the
modern music scene. I've sung in Caritas (cheered up a depressed
blond, go me) and jammed with Chad (who's really really tall), and now I've gotta see what I've missed in the weird time change.
FOZZIE BEAR: UNSUNG COMIC GENIUS
The genius of Fozzie, is that he's made a successful career out of being a really bad stand-up. His act with Statler and Waldorf is one of the best routines, I've ever seen. And even when he doesn't have those two to play off of, he's an expert at getting the audience to groan, and then laugh at how bad the joke is.
I think it must take an immense amount of talent, to bomb like that deliberately. And so consistently. Muppets are still very new to the public eye. And Fozzie's such an oddity already, that if he tried to be a good comic, they'd be too busy thinking "Talking bear". to pay much attention. Somehow, being bad has gotten they're attention, and their affection.
Comedy may be hard, but good bad comedy must be even harder. And he makes it look effortless.
ooc: open of course!
